Creek Discovery Day: Exploring a creek and riparian restoration

A family-friendly event for explorers of all ages

Organized by the Chiques Creek Watershed Alliance

And part of Lancaster Conservancy Water Week 2026

Date June 12, 2026

Time 5-6:30PM

Location 10 minutes southwest of Manheim (directions provided with registration)

What we’ll do  

• Identify the different trees, shrubs, and pollinator plants in this streamside planting.

• Explore the creekside, the critters that live there, and see how the stream was restored.

• Younger kids can build birdhouses to take home ($5 donation requested to cover supplies).

• Content suitable for K-5, but also OK for all ages
